The compact T4000 thermal label printer from Printronix Auto ID is particularly impressive in industrial areas, with its fast, high-quality label printing – optionally in direct thermal or thermal transfer processes. Its maximum print speed is 254 mm/sec. at 203 dpi or approximately 178 mm/sec. at 300 dpi. This enables it to produce up to 5,000 labels a day. It also offers a long uptime, accommodating up to 450 m of ribbon and 8-inch (203.2 mm) label rolls. Optionally, the T4000 is also available as an RFID version, which is suited for encoding RFID tags onto metal. These include a 3.5″ colour display with an intuitive, icon-driven menu and a nine-button control panel. Also, the T4000 offers an ARM Cortex-A7 high-performance processor, 128 MB RAM and 128 MB flash. Its interfaces include RS-232, USB-B, a USB-A host and Ethernet, optional Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. The T4000 also impresses with its robust, practical design. The housing is made of a durable steel frame and the side cover for media change can be folded twice. In addition to the high functionality, Printronix Auto ID has also paid attention to a compact and modern design. As a result, the dimensions of the printer are just 264 x 276 x 455 mm (W x H x D).
